The Asian region, which includes some of the most dynamic economies in the world and accounts for more than 60% of the global population, is facing zero growth for the first time in 60 years. The book addresses a major theoretical problem and a gap in the academic and policy related literature on governance and democracy in the Asia-Pacific region.
