On 22 and 23 October 2015, the “Managing the Transition to a Sustainable Economy: Some insight from an evolutionary perspective” workshop brought together leading academics from a range of fields, such as engineering, psychology and economics, to better understand the challenges faced by contemporary policymakers in creating a new energy economy that must inevitably emerge in the face of global climate change.  Griffith University and the University of Queensland jointly hosted the event, and it was held on Griffith’s South Bank Campus.  Individuals from the University of Queensland, Griffith University, members of Queensland public service, and members of the public were in attendance.

A special issue of the Journal of Bioeconomics will be published as a result of the papers produced for this workshop.
