Griffith Asia Institute recently co-hosted the “Australia-Philippines Policy Forum: Economic Diplomacy and the APEC Agenda” with the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) in Manila.

The inaugural Dialogue was opened by Ambassador Laura del Rosario, Undersecretary of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs and Australian Deputy Head of Mission in Manila, Dr David Dutton. The Forum was attended by over 100 delegates from government, industry and academe. Experts from both countries discussed the current status of the Australia-Philippines bilateral relationship, with a particular focus on the broad economic partnership and their roles in multilateral cooperation such as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
