Which workshops are being offered?
6 October: External research datasets is an exploratory and hands on session for researchers on AURIN, TINKER, ADA and other major virtual data labs and portals. Discover large, interdisciplinary, layered datasets to support research.
7 October: Reproducible Research: Building Business Continuity is a seminar that will help you identify ways to make your research reproducible and transparent, safeguard yourself against loss of data or personnel and more.
14 October: This EndNote workshop is an online tutorial followed by a Q&A session and provides an introduction to using EndNote for research and reference management.
18 October: Managing your research literature will provide techniques and strategies to help students/academics manage their literature, organise ideas, references, content and research material. This will help participants create a workflow for their research.
19 October: Data Visualisation Basics is an online session exploring methods and tools to create publication quality visualisations of structured data from spreadsheets. Tools covered include MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat DC, along with open source software Voyant and Raw Graphs.
21 October: The Measuring and showcasing research: scholarly metrics workshop will explore metrics in Web of Science, Incites, Scopus and Google scholar to help you find publication metrics for promotion or grant applications.
27 October: In Digital tools for research you will become familiar with a wide range of digital tools available to assist you throughout your research journey.
