Trimester 3 will start on the 6 November 2023.  That leaves only a couple of days for you to get in quick and book an online Earlybird workshop with the Library. 

What are the Library’s online Earlybird workshops? 

Earlybird workshops are held during O-Week, Library staff help students learn new skills, improve research abilities and engage with sources critically. Workshops range from basic library skills such as navigating the library website, to building effective academic and digital skills, learning researching techniques and understanding referencing. 

Workshops include: 

Study Skills at University – Learn study skills and strategies (31 October, 12pm – 1pm) 

Exploring Online Resources at Griffith – Learn about the apps and systems that make up Griffith’s Online Learning Environment (31 October, 7pm – 8pm) 

Starting Assignments at University – Learn how to analyse your assignment and search a range of information resources (1 November, 12 noon – 1pm) 

Writing at University – Learn how to build an argument, structure an essay and write in an academic style (2 November, 12 noon – 1pm) 

Referencing at University – Learn how to reference and have a look at the Library Referencing Guides (3 November, 12 noon – 1pm)
