In a competitive academic landscape, it’s important to stand out when applying for grants and pursuing career advancement. To have the best chance of success, you will need to use research citation metrics as supporting evidence of your contributions to your academic field.

As a Griffith researcher, you have access to two key tools to help you do this: SciVal and InCites. These tools empower you to tell a compelling story of your scholarly contributions.

SciVal

Based on Scopus data, SciVal allows you to:

  • get a quick overview of your research metrics with simple visualisations
  • create custom reports
  • benchmark metrics relative to peers
  • identify emerging research trends.

InCites

InCites is powered by Web of Science data. It allows you to:

  • source and display metrics in tabular and visual formats
  • compare performance against global benchmarks and baselines
  • identify high-performing journals in different research areas.

By using these tools alongside qualitative and complementary data, you can start crafting a strong research narrative, helping you stand out from the crowd.
