Running from 2 – 9 July, NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Peoples cultures and participate in celebrating the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth. The theme for 2023 is For Our Elders—a homage to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders and their ongoing contributions to communities across the country. Griffith University will be celebrating NAIDOC Week with flag raising ceremonies at the Logan, Nathan , Gold Coast and Mt Gravatt campuses. Local NAIDOC week events will be happening across the country. Find out what is planned in your community.

If you are interested in learning more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples or are doing research related to those communities, the Library has curated a subject guide to help you effectively and ethically study First Peoples topics.
