Thursday 1 June, 10 am – 12 noon Reproducible Research – Building Business Continuity  

This workshop will help you to identify ways to make your research reproducible; safeguard against fraud and secure your data.

Wednesday 7 June, 10 am – 12 noon Data organisation in spreadsheets for researchers  

Learn how to structure and organise data in spreadsheets to make computation easier. This workshop is based on the Data Carpentry workshop for Social Scientists. 

Wednesday 14 June 2023, 10.30 am – 12 noon Conveying the argument in academic writing  

Explore ways to develop a clear argument in your writing as well as identifying arguments in the writing of others. 

Thursday 15 June, 10 am – 12 noon Literature search strategies for Systematic Quantitative Literature Reviews: how to find papers and where to look  

During this session research librarians will demonstrate the development of a robust, well-documented search strategy, designed to locate all eligible material using an example review question. 

Thursday 22 June, 10 am – 11.30 am Data Visualisation Basics  

Explore methods and tools to create publication quality visualisations of structured, tabular data. Tools covered include MS Excel and open-source tool Raw Graphs. 

Wednesday 21 June, 12 noon – 1 pm EndNote Q&A  

Learn the basics and start using EndNote using the Library’s EndNote Basics Tutorial, then register to join the Endnote Q&A live virtual session. Bring your questions and get answers and tips from specialist librarians and other EndNote users.

Tuesday 27 June, 10 am – 12 noon Exploring your literature using bibliometris and VosViewer   

This workshop will provide an overview of bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. This is a powerful tool for constructing and visualising bibliometric networks and relationships between pieces of literature. 

Wednesday 28 June 10 am – 11 am Managing your research data  

Learn about data management practices and the data related resources and services available to Griffith researchers throughout the various stages of the research life cycle.  This is a companion workshop to Reproducible Research: Building Business Continuity.
