The Library offers academic study advice, including seven steps to critical thinking success, four steps to time management, five steps to effective reading, and four ways to take effective notes. 

Assignment writing 

Getting started on your assignments can be the hardest part! The Library has helpful pointers for analysing your assignment question, searching for information, writing assignments, and tackling group projects.  

Accessing Library resources 

Searching for information doesn’t have to be difficult. The Library has guides to help you navigate the Library catalogue, Library databases, ebooks, Google Scholar, and more. 


Referencing is essential. It lets others know where your information comes from. The Library has referencing guides for different referencing styles to help you navigate referencing, including how to quote and paraphrase in the text of your assignment and format reference lists. 

Exam prep 

As exam period draws closer, it’s important to be prepared and organised. The Library’s three step process will help get you mentally and physically prepared for your exams!
