In lieu of the regular Lightning Talks, Griffith Review and the Library has released a podcast for Griffith Review 68: Getting OnGriffith Review is Griffith University’s quarterly journal of ideas and new writing. Getting On takes a timely look at the question of how we age successfully (as individuals, as a society and as a population) while exploring the changing truths of ageing and celebrating the triumph of longevity. 

The podcast features two authors from Getting On – Ingrid Burkett and Ian Lowe.  

Prof. Ingrid Burkett is the current co-director at the Yunus Centre at Griffith University, past president of the International Association for Community Development and was the inaugural social design fellow at the Centre of Social Impact at UNSW and UWA.  

Emer Prof. Ian Lowe is emeritus professor of science, technology and society at Griffith University. Ian is the author of Living in the Greenhouse (Scribe Books, 1989) and co-author of Changing Australia (ABC Books, 1991), Science, Technology and Society (Cambridge University Press, 1998) and Environmental Values in a Globalising World: Nature, Justice and Governance (Routledge, 2005).
