It may be study and exam week but don’t let yourself get overworked and overwhelmed. Remember to take breaks to help maintain your study stamina and prevent burnout. Even better, take your breaks outside. There’s nothing like some sunshine and fresh air to improve your mood and reinvigorate you, ready to do more study.

Here are some ideas for how you can spend your break outside.

Have a picnic lunch – this could be in your backyard, on your balcony or at a nearby park. You need to take a break for lunch anyway, so why not do it outside?

Go for a walk – not only will the sunshine and fresh air help clear your mind, but the exercise will help ease the aches and pains from sitting at the computer or desk for too long.

Drink your coffee outside – instead of sitting at your desk with your coffee, head outside for a mid-morning break. If you’re lucky enough to live near the ocean grab a takeaway coffee, sit on the sand and breathe in that fresh sea air.
