New Data Management Planning Tool for Researchers

Griffith researchers can now use the new Data Management Planning Tool to create a data management plan (DMP) for their research projects.

The tool guides researchers through key considerations such as data ownership, ethics, storage, security, sharing and retention, helping to document important decisions throughout the research lifecycle. Once submitted, the tool generates a downloadable DMP that can be retained as part of project documentation and accessed later through the My Requests page in Services@Griffith.

A DMP can help researchers identify data management requirements early, select appropriate storage and infrastructure, and support the responsible management of research data.

To create a DMP, complete the Data Management Planning Tool form. For support using the tool, contact eResearch Services.

For guidance on research data management, visit the Library’s Plan for data webpage or contact the Library.
