Celebrate Pride Week with the Library

Pride Week returns from 24 to 28 August, bringing the Griffith community together to celebrate LGBTQIA+ identities, experiences and contributions. Don’t miss the opportunity to get involved with live music, workshops, entertainment and giveaways throughout the week. You can view the full Pride Week program to discover what’s happening across the uni. 

Looking to explore LGBTQIA+ stories and perspectives? The Pride Watch List is a great place to start. You can also discover films, documentaries, interviews and archival footage through the Library’s Alexander Street LGBT Studies collection, which explores LGBTQIA+ history, culture and lived experiences. 

If you’re interested in building your own understanding and strengthening allyship further, Griffith’s self-paced LGBTQIA+ Ally and Trans Ally courses offer practical tips, while the Safe Campuses MATE Bystander training provides strategies for supporting others and helping create safer, more inclusive communities. 

Whether you’re celebrating, learning or exploring ways to be an ally, Pride Week is an opportunity to connect with others and contribute to a more inclusive Griffith. As a designated Safe Place for LGBTQIA+ staff and students, the Library is committed to fostering inclusion and belonging throughout the year.
