Celebrate NAIDOC Week: 50 years of deadly

NAIDOC Week is celebrated across Australia each July, recognising the history, diverse cultures and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It’s a time for everyone to learn, get involved and honour the oldest continuous living cultures on earth.   

Fifty Years of Deadly marks a milestone, not just of time passed, but of the momentum still building.

Here are some ways to take part this week: 

• Attend a flag raising ceremony on Griffith campuses, either in person or via livestream. 

• Explore this curated Reading list that celebrates the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers. 

• Take part in a local NAIDOC Week event in your community, such as volunteering opportunities, trivia nights, fun runs and more.
