Find the perfect study space to help you prepare for exams!
We’re heading into exam preparation period, so it’s a great time to start thinking about how—and where—you’re going to study! Griffith’s libraries have a variety of study spaces to suit any personality, study style and time of day. When that exam timetable drops, don’t get stressed, get prepared—the Library has got you covered!
What’s your study style?
I need silence to focus
We have both quiet study spaces and completely silent zones in our libraries. Ask at the service desk, or keep an eye out for the banners and signs that will tell you what zone you’re in.
I want to study with my friends/I like a bit of buzz about me
We have plenty of spaces designed for social study and collaborative work, where you can discuss ideas and make a little more noise.
We’re preparing for group assessment/I have a study group
Did you know you can book study rooms and study pods at all our libraries? Get in early, though—these spaces can be popular!
I’m a night owl/I want to study on weekends
As a Griffith student, you can request 24/7 access to our Nathan and Gold Coast libraries and South Bank Student Collaboration Zone. Just fill out a Study Safe Access Request form, download the Gallagher Mobile Connect app, follow the instructions, and soon you’ll be able to swipe in to the library any time you want.
Fluorescent lights and bright colours distract me
You can find sensory-friendly study spaces at Logan Library (L03 room 2.32E), Nathan Library (N53 room 1.51), and the Queensland College of Art and Design (S03 room 2.25F). The Gold Coast campus has an exciting development underway for a new sensory-friendly space as well, so keep your eyes peeled!
I’d like to leave my house, but I also like to be close to my microwave
Worry not, Nathan Library has a kitchenette for students, and the Gold Coast campus Library has just installed a brand-new kitchenette for students on the ground floor, so you can access hot water, microwaves, vending machines and a small dining space. Now you can power up those late-night study sessions with a hot meal or brew a coffee to get your morning started, all without leaving the library.
In other great news, the Student Services and Amenities Fund has supplied the Library with funding to distribute snacks to students across campus libraries during exam week and study weeks, helping you stay fuelled and focussed to do your best on your exams.
So whatever your study space needs, pop into your campus library this exam preparation period—we’ve got something for everyone.
