Cultivating Cultures: Expanding Memory, a free public performance curated by Dr Lauren Istvandity held at the Queensland Conservatorium, features six newly commissioned pieces of music, dance and poetry revealing previously uncaptured heritage from migrant communities in Queensland.

Disruptions, an exhibition of paintings by Dr Simon Degroot at This Is No Fantasy Gallery in Melbourne, explores how geometric abstraction speaks to a present defined by instability and rapid change.

Farsh-e-Parandeh (Flying Carpet) in the Gardensa large-scale public artwork directed, produced and animated by Dr Leila Honari and installed at Brisbane’s City Botanic Gardens during the Botanica Festival, uses digital projection and animation to reimagine traditional Persian storytelling.

Sonatine, a new solo composition by Dr Nicole Murphy premiered at the State Library of Queensland’s annual Research Reveals, celebrates the artistry of Queensland pianist Christina Boughen OAM and results from extensive research into her life and career.
