Repair Café - a place to come together to repair and share.

Our Repair Café is returning in Trimester 1 and we can’t wait! Now in our third year, it’s a fun space where students and staff share repair skills and fix broken items together. It’s a great way to save money and cut waste. We’re always happy to welcome new helpers and fixers, so if you’d like to join the crew, we’d love to have you sign up!

What is a Repair Café?

It’s a fun pop-up event where you can:

🛠️ Bring in broken items to be repaired by our amazing volunteer fixers
🌟 Share your own repair skills with others
🤝 Help run the event behind the scenes
📣 Or use your social media magic to help spread the word!

Why we run them:
Our Repair Cafés help cut waste, save money and keep everyday items out of landfill by giving them a second life. They’re all about promoting repair and reuse, supporting a more sustainable future and meeting awesome like-minded people along the way!

Skills we’re seeking:

🧵 Sewing and mending

💍 Jewellery repair

👟 Shoe repair

🔨 Woodworking

⚙️ Mechanical/electronic repairs (licensed electrician required for electrical items)

🛠️ General repair skills

You can volunteer for as little as an hour, every bit helps!
