The library is more than just a collection of books,; it’s the heart of the campus, designed to support however you work best and help you thrive at university.
Find your zone
We all study differently. Whether you need total silence or a place to brainstorm with friends, our libraries are designed with spaces to match your needs.
- Social and collaborative spaces: our social study spaces are a great place to get together with your classmates. Whether you’re working on a group assignment or preparing for an exam with a study mate.
- Quiet study areas: ideal for when you’re “in the zone” and need to power through those readings. Just look for the signage and be mindful of others.
- Bookable study rooms: need something a little more private? Each campus library has study spaces that you can book for group work. Book a study room online via the study spaces webpage.
- Sensory friendly zones: located at the Nathan, Logan and QCAD libraries, these silent, distraction free zones feature adjustable lighting and comfy seating for anyone who needs a calmer environment.
- Assistive technology rooms: library assistive technology rooms are available for students with disability. Contact Student Disability and Accessibility to find out more information about facilities available at your campus Library.
- 24/7 access: burning the midnight oil? Don’t forget to apply for 24/7 after-hours access to our safe study spaces at the Nathan and Gold Coast campuses.
- Inclusive environment: our libraries are designated Safe Places for LGBTIQ+ staff and students. No matter your identity, you belong here.
Whether you’re staying late to finish an assignment or just need a quiet corner to decompress between classes, we’ve got you covered.
