Did you know that academic integrity matters not only to you, but to the University and employers as well?
Why academic integrity matters
Academic integrity is about acting with the core values of honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility and courage in your studies. This matters to:
- you, because you know you have earned your qualification and are prepared for the workplace
- Griffith, because the University has standards and an academic reputation to uphold, as well as responsibilities as a higher education provider
- employers, because they expect that graduates are honest, trustworthy and have met professional requirements and industry standards.
Learn about academic integrity
All commencing students must complete the Introduction to Academic Integrity module by the end of their first trimester. This module outlines what academic integrity is, behaviours to avoid and the skills you need to act with integrity in your studies. Students can also complete the Academic Integrity Student Tutorial, which covers types of academic misconduct, the University’s policies and how Griffith responds to an academic breach.
