At ResBaz you can learn new skills and meet fellow researchers. This year, the Australian Catholic University, Banyo Campus will host the two-day event from 6-7 November.
Researchers and Higher Degree Research candidates from all disciplines are invited to attend. You can up-skill in next generation digital research tools and skills. It is also a great opportunity to meet other early career researchers and explore new ideas.
This year’s ResBaz Queensland will offer brief practical introductions to a broad selection of topics and tools related to digital research practice. Topics include:
- statistical comparisons in R
- using the EcoCommons platform to run species distribution models
- a new tool for managing access to sensitive research data
- introduction to programming – plotting and programming with Python
- how to fix slow code
- introduction to data cleaning with OpenRefine
- demistifying AI for research
- personal branding for researchers
- REDCap workshop
- KeyPoint workshop
- how to design ‘design methods’ to support participation in research.
The $40 entrance fee includes two full days of hands-on workshops, presentations, lunches, morning teas and much more.
With free on campus parking and 50c public transport fares, there’s nothing stopping you attending!
