Wednesday 5 June 12 noon to 2pm – Publishing your PhD
Provides the requirements and guidelines for publishing as part of your PhD thesis.
Thursday 6 June 11am to 12.30pm – Introduction to REDCap at Griffith
Learn how to build and deploy projects in REDCap (REsearch Data Capture), one of Griffith’s supported research survey tools. This session is for anyone looking to gather study data but will be most valuable for researchers considering clinical trials.
Wednesday 12 June 10am to 12noon – Exploring your literature using bibliometrics and VosViewer
Bibliometric analysis of literature is an efficient way to gain an overview of a specific topic. This workshop will provide an overview of bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer.
Suitable for all researchers and early candidature HDRs either before or during preparation of a literature review.
Thursday 13 June 10am to 11.30am – Analysing the literature and writing your review
Building on the “Managing your research literature” workshop, learn strategies to help plan, structure and write your literature review.
Thursday 13 June 12.30pm to 1.30pm – Covidence Data Extraction
This session is a deep dive into Covidence’s Data Extraction tools. It’s aimed at reviewers who want to understand more about the process of collecting information from included studies and exporting it for analysis. The session covers:
- creating and editing templates
- populating the extraction forms
- consensus
- export options.
Get tips and tricks to jumpstart your progress, as well as the opportunity to get specific questions answered.

In this webinar we will introduce Open Research, how it can help your research and its role in maximising research impact.
Wednesday 19 June 10am to 11am – Managing your research literature: Digital tools taster
Discover digital tools researchers can use to organise and keep track of information extracted from research literature. Tools such as EndNote, spreadsheets, forms and other tools will be highlighted.
Thursday 20 June 10am to 11.30am – Copyright, Publishing and open access considerations
The seminar will examine copyright, publishing and open access considerations across all research disciplines.
Tuesday 25 June 12noon to 1pm – Endnote- Self-paced tutorial and Q&A session
Learn the basics and start using EndNote using the Library’s EndNote Basics Tutorial, then register to join the Endnote Q&A live virtual session. Bring your questions and get answers and tips from specialist librarians and other EndNote users.
