While you are studying from home there are a few things you can do to make sure you are getting the best out of your study while staying safe and well.

Stay connected

  • Reach out to your friends and family. Check in with them regularly; try a virtual coffee or drinks via zoom or skype.  Maybe try having a formal Friday and wear your best while you catch-up.
  • Connect with your peers, tutors and lecturers via Microsoft Teams or Learning@Griffith. You can learn how to get the best from your peer networks at (griffith.edu.au/thrive-online)
  • Only use trusted sources of health information like Queensland Health (health.qld.gov.au) or Australia’s Department of Health (www.health.gov.au).
  • Ask for help when studying, contact the Library for study support via our webform (https://intranet.secure.griffith.edu.au/library/forms/help)

The Griffith Collective has also published a great student article by Sam Daniels on moving to studying online. Sam’s advice, get back to basics, recognize the similarities between on-campus and online study and stay on track. Take a read The Griffith Collective

So stay connected and remember we are all in this together.

The Library is here to help you, why not contact us.
