Course Enhancement Series

Join your colleagues on Tuesday 15 May at Nathan campus for the Implementing Your Course (G24005) workshop to learn more about implementing your course design and guiding your teaching team, and for assistance with planning your course evaluation strategy.

On Tuesday 29 May at Nathan campus, the Evaluating and Enhancing Your Course (G24006) workshop will give you the opportunity to practise analysing course evaluation data, identifying course strengths and weaknesses and developing a Course Improvement Plan.

Both of these interactive workshops from the Course Enhancement Series will also be a great opportunity for you to meet and build a network with colleagues who are involved in course design and development.

PebblePad Workshops

The popular PebblePad workshops are on this month at the Gold Coast and Nathan campuses. The PebblePad: An introduction (G25001) workshop will allow you to explore the functionality of PebblePad in a supportive, hands-on workshop. We highly recommend all staff attend the introductory workshop before registering for other workshops in the series. Click here for session details.

The Creating Interactive Resources (G25007) and Understanding the Assessment Life Cycle (G25008) workshops will enable you to build on what you learn in the introductory session.

Preparing for ASCD Conversations: A focus on Learning and Teaching Capabilities

This workshop will give you the opportunity to practise using a series of prompt questions, aligned with the ASCD plan, to guide a collegial conversation about learning and teaching using the Griffith Learning and Teaching Capabilities Framework. The Framework will introduce a shared language, as you explore the learning and teaching capabilities needed to reach goals and engage in a cycle of professional learning and career development.

There are a few spots open for the session at South Bank campus on Friday 4 May from 10.00 am – 11.30 am. Due to demand, new workshops have been scheduled for Friday 18 May from 1.30 pm – 3.00 pm at Nathan campus and Monday 21 May from 1.30 pm – 3.00 pm at the Gold Coast campus. Registration is open for these workshops now.

Workshops for supervisors are being held on Friday 11 May from 10.00 am – 11.30 am at Nathan campus and from 1.30 pm – 3.00 pm at South Bank campus.

Peer Enhancement of Teaching and Learning: Information Session

If you would like to work with a colleague to enhance your teaching practice or reinvigorate your course, you will definitely want to come along to the Peer Enhancement of Teaching and Learning information session on Wednesday 9 May from 1.00 pm – 2.00 pm to find out more about the peer processes available to staff at Griffith.

These sessions will be video conferenced between the Gold Coast and Nathan campuses and will give you more information about participating in the Peer Enhancement of Teaching or the Peer Assisted Course Enhancement Scheme.
