Find out more about the face to face professional learning opportunities offered by Learning Futures this month.
This month sees the Teaching for Learning Program wrap up for Trimester 1 with the final workshop in the series, Reflecting and Evaluating for Learning (G04003) being held on Tuesday 17 April, 9.30 am – 12.30 pm at the Gold Coast campus.
In this workshop you will have the opportunity to explore four perspectives (self, peer, student and literature) you can use to help you reflect on your teaching. All interested staff are welcome to attend – it doesn’t matter if you haven’t been to the previous workshops. The full program may be offered again at Nathan campus later in the year.
If you would like to create relevant and authentic assessment tasks and develop assessment marking rubrics that support student learning then you will want to come along to the Developing Your Course (G24004) workshop on Tuesday 24 April, 9.30 am – 12.30 pm at Nathan campus.
Part of the Course Enhancement Series, this is an interactive and practice-based workshop that will assist you in developing key components of your course plan, including assessment tasks and marking rubrics aligned to your Course Learning Outcomes. The workshop is also a great opportunity to meet colleagues who are involved in course design and development.
The popular PebblePad workshops are also on this month at Nathan campus. We recommend all staff attend the PebblePad: An Introduction (G25001) workshop before registering for other workshops in the series.
The introductory workshop will allow you to explore the functionality of PebblePad in a supportive, hands-on session and is offered on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 April, 9.30 am – 11.00 am. The Creating Interactive Resources (G25007) and Understanding the Assessment Life Cycle (G25008) workshops will enable you to build on what you learn in the introductory session.
