Caroline Steel (Blackboard’s Strategic Educational Consultant for APAC) has produced a succinct blog post, “Why do flipped classrooms sometimes flop?”, looking at the reasons some ‘Flipped Classroom’ implementations fail and highlighting five thematic areas. This is by no means an academic article; however, it does leverage both student and Instructor perspectives by using thematic analysis of feedback by practitioners to provide a Framework for a successful flipped classroom, and pointers on how these Framework intentions can be practically applied.

If you are flipping in 2018, this blog post is worth a look.
