Did you know that Griffith is hosting a two-day Microsoft Office 365 + Teams in Learning and Teaching Summit in June? A lot of your Griffith colleagues have already registered for the Summit, and we’re counting down the days! There’s still a few spots open, so if you’re wondering if you should register, here’s 4 reasons why it’s worth considering…

1. Hear from some great guest speakers

You will have the chance to hear from some great speakers who will inspire you and share the possibilities that Microsoft Office 365 + Teams offer to enhance learning and teaching in practice. One of our colleagues commented that the Summit speakers are doing some amazing work in this area, and we should prepare to have our minds blown!

So, who are our guest speakers?

David Kellerman

David Kellerman

David Kellerman is a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the UNSW and has worked with Microsoft to enhance the learning experience for his “web students” who can’t attend lectures in person.

Ray Fleming

Ray Fleming

Ray Fleming is the Higher Education Lead at Microsoft Australia, and last visited us at Griffith for the Immersive Learning Realities Symposium during Celebrating Teaching in 2017.

Jason Le Greca

Jason La Greca

Jason La Greca is the Teams Engineer, Teams in Higher Education at Microsoft and will be giving you the lowdown on Teams along with all of the tips and tricks you can handle.

2. Learn from your colleagues

At the Summit, you’ll see what other educators are doing and how other institutions are innovating and building digital learning solutions with Microsoft tools. There will be opportunities to learn from these real life examples, and get answers to your most burning questions on using Microsoft Teams and tools for L&T. You’ll also get inspiration for how these tools can complement the great work you already do, or spark an idea for something new!

3. Share what you’re doing

Are you using Microsoft Teams in your course? Have you been part of a team making use of the technology? Let your fellow educators learn from your experiences and share your insights at this summit. If this sounds like something you would like to do, please contact Dr Chris Campbell.

4. Expand your network

Higher education colleagues from all over the country will be coming to Griffith in June to attend this Summit. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and connect with a wide range of people, from educators to edtech experts and everyone in between. The summit is also fully catered, so you can enjoy some nutrients with your networking during lunch with colleagues and our guest speakers.
