GIFT, Griffith University and University of the Sunshine Coast are undertaking a training program for 25 tourism government officials and business managers on Sustainable Tourism for Regional Growth II. The Australia Awards Indonesia group along with Tourism industry leaders arrived in the Cairns City, Queensland to use their knowledge and experience to develop our Lombok Hidden Trip. The group is currently visiting the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest and Outback. Today they met with Mr Russell Boswell, manager of Susannah Guides who talked about tour guide training.

Professor Noel Scott and Professor Bill Charter, Lecture Tourism Destination Management from Griffith University are leading the group as they learn more about sustainable tourism for regional growth during the course.
