Griffith English Language Institute (GELI) offers the highest level of the Direct Entry Program  (DEP) five times per year, to support students to achieve the language requirement for direct entry to Griffith University degree programs commencing in Trimester 1, 2, or 3. 

Griffith International acknowledges excellent performance in DEP by awarding a $1000 Direct Entry Program (DEP) Scholarship to the highest performing DEP student in each cohort who is progressing to a Griffith undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.

Arianto Pakaang

Arianto studied for 15 weeks on a pathway to Master of Education. 

Arianto demonstrated from the beginning of the Direct Entry Program that he is a highly capable student, not only in terms of his English language skills but also in skills that are critical to success at an Australian university, including the ability to think critically, study independently and research widely for assignments and presentations.

Choi Seongsu (Caleb)

Seongsu studied for 10 weeks on a pathway to Bachelor of Pharmacy. 

Caleb is a diligent student who approaches tasks with an analytical mindset. He has clear goals, which he works systematically towards achieving. His achievement reflects the time and effort he puts into forging his way to success. 

Tran Thi Ngoc Bich (Jade)

Jade studied for 10 weeks on a pathway to Master of Human Resource Management and Employment Relations at Griffith University. 

Jade is an exceptional student who remained focussed and made the most of every opportunity to develop her language and academic skills. With these high-level skills and her expertise in Human Resource Management, she is set to thrive in her degree program, Master of Human Resource management and Employment Relations. 

Lam Phuc Khang 

Khang studied for 15 weeks on a pathway to Master of Information Technology.

Khang joined the Direct Entry Program to prepare for his Master of Information Technology. He applied himself to academic writing and research skills, and produced high-quality written work backed up with excellent academic sources from his research.

Fabrizzia Nedelka Zamudio Acosta

Fabrizzia studied for 30 weeks to prepare to enter the Diploma of Healthcare at Griffith College.


Fabrizzia is a very conscientious student who is extremely motivated to improve her language skills. Her critical thinking skills also enable her to seek knowledge at a deep level and to make the most of learning opportunities.
