As Trimester 2, 2023 at Griffith College comes to an end, it’s time to celebrate the exciting excursions and events that our students have been a part of. From exploring the wonders of Australian wildlife to gaining valuable insights into the hospitality industry, this trimester has been full of memorable experiences. Let’s take a closer look at some of the highlights:

Wild Adventures at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Wrapping up another wild adventure at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, our students had the chance to immerse themselves in the beauty of Australia’s unique wildlife. From cuddling koalas to encountering slithering snakes, this excursion was an unforgettable journey into the heart of Australian fauna. These memories were made even more special by the amazing friends who shared them. Until next time, Currumbin!

Behind-the-Scenes Tour at The Hilton Surfers Paradise

Our International Tourism and Hotel Management students embarked on a fascinating journey at The Hilton Surfers Paradise. They were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour and a delightful high tea, guided by Amber Reiher, Course Coordinator for International Food and Beverage Management. A heartfelt thank you to Lisa Galway, HR Manager at The Hilton Surfers Paradise, for extending her warm hospitality to our students.

Luxury Experience at the Emporium Hotel

Our International Tourism and Hotel Management students from Mt. Gravatt enjoyed an exceptional day at the 5-star Emporium Hotel. They had the opportunity to tour the hotel’s elegant facilities, relish a sumptuous lunch at Reserve Wine Bar, and be captivated by the Terrace Rooftop Bar, vintage wine selection, and delectable homemade pastries at Belle Epoque. We extend our gratitude to Nilima, Julia, and Anita Russell for making this unforgettable experience possible.

Fun Day Out with PALs and Mates at the Hijinx Hotel

We can’t forget the wonderful volunteers who put in their hard work and dedication to support the Griffith College Community. Our PALs (Peer Assisted Learning ambassadors) and Mates had a fantastic day out at the Hijinx Hotel, a testament to their invaluable contributions.

Public Speaking Workshop by Jonathan, a Griffith College Alumni and PAL

Enhancing public speaking skills is a crucial step towards academic success and future job readiness. To help our students achieve this, a great public speaking workshop was conducted by Jonathan, an alumnus and current PAL. The workshop provided valuable tips and insights to boost their confidence and presentation skills, setting them up for success in assessments and beyond.

Trimester 2, 2023 at Griffith College has been a journey filled with exciting excursions and enriching events.
