Griffith University’s Open Day 2023 took place on Sunday, August 13, with an impressive turnout of more than 6,000 attendees.

Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Shaun Ewen highlighted that Open Day was a prime opportunity for prospective students to explore study options and learn about what makes Griffith a unique, values-driven university.

“Open Day is a fantastic opportunity to explore your academic opportunities, discover Griffith’s diverse range of degrees and receive expert advice on study options,” he said.

Both the Nathan and Gold Coast Campuses were open for exploration, with guided tours available as well as opportunities to interact with Griffith’s lecturers and current students, who offered firsthand insights into the student experience at Griffith.

Open Day featured over 200 activities, workshops, and information sessions on both campuses, covering student support services, admission pathways, applications, and scholarship opportunities.

These included health-focused escape room challenges, a wildlife booth featuring various animals, guided tours of the EcoCentre and Toohey Forest, demonstrations in financial trading rooms, engineering activities, law skills demonstrations, virtual reality and augmented reality experiences, cybersecurity lab tours, nursing lab tours, aviation flight procedures lab tours, and more. Participants could also create personalised itineraries to explore their areas of interest.

Open Day 2023 was an invaluable opportunity for prospective students to learn about Griffith University and its diverse offerings while engaging with the university’s community and experiencing its world-class facilities.
