Applications for scholarship for commencement in 2024 are now open to international higher degree research (HDR) applicants through the 2024 continuous scholarship round.

International applicants are invited to apply for:

  • Open Merit Scholarships – with applicants invited to apply across all research disciplines for a Research Training Program (RTP) or Griffith University stipend scholarship (GUPRS).
  • Directed project scholarships – with applicants invited to apply for specific projects or research areas.
  • Griffith Industry PhD scholarships – with applicants invited to apply for specific university-industry projects.
  • NEW Disability Scholars scholarships – with applicants who have a permanent disability invited to apply across all research disciplines.
  • NEW Griffith University Honours Entry Scholarships – with onshore international applicants who have recently completed or are about to complete a Griffith University HDR pathway degree, (e.g. a Bachelor with Honours degree or Masters degree with a research component), invited to apply across all research disciplines.

  • Applications for intake 1 2024 commencement (26 February 2024) close on 5 September 2023 for offshore international applicants, and on 19 September 2023 for onshore international applicants.

  • Self-funded or sponsored international applicants can apply for admission at any time to commence in the next available intake. The steps to apply can be found on the Research study page.
