In October 2022, TEQSA advised providers that we must transition to compliance with the ESOS National Code by 30 June 2023.
This means that Griffith’s international student visa holders who have been undertaking their studies from outside Australia due to COVID-19 impacts are expected to be studying on-campus no later than Trimester 2 2023, and there will no longer be options for student visa holders to commence study from outside Australia, or to undertake study at Griffith outside Australia while on a student visa.
We are writing to our student visa holders who are located outside Australia and are expected to continue studying to advise that they must be studying on-campus from Trimester 2 or choose an alternative option, such as enrolment in an online program which does not require a student visa.
