The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) is providing guidance to Australian institutions in the lead up to the first intake of 2023.
The update includes:
- Lodging complete, decision-ready applications.
- Offshore students who are required to get a health assessment can do so before lodging a visa application – it is not necessary to wait for a Request for Information from the Department.
- Lodge at least 6 weeks before course commencement.
- Ensure the Statement of Purpose in response to the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement does not exceed 300 words.
- Ensure evidence to support GTE requirements is provided as an attachment/s.
- Where required, ensure financial evidence is credible and the funds genuinely available.
- Provide translated copies of all documents.
