Almost 70 students successfully completed the highest level of the Direct Entry Program (DEP) at Griffith English Language Institute (GELI) to achieve entry into their Griffith University or Griffith College program for Trimester 2 2022.

Griffith International acknowledges excellent performance in DEP by awarding a $1000 Direct Entry Program (DEP) Scholarship to the highest performing DEP student in each cohort, who is progressing to a Griffith undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.

Congratulations to the following DEP Scholarship winners:

  • XU Jialu, China, Master of International Tourism & Hospitality Management.
  • TO Vinh Dat (Dato), Vietnam, Bachelors of Information Technology / Business
XU Jialu, China, Master of International Tourism & Hospitality Management
XU Jialu

Jialu studied onshore at GELI for 15 weeks and was a hardworking and diligent student who demonstrated true commitment to her academic studies. She worked collegially with her peers and, through her desire to expand on her academic knowledge base, brought out the best in those around her.

TO Vinh Dat (Dato)

Dato commenced his 15-week GELI program online and then came onshore for the remainder of his course. He is an exceptional student who, from the moment he arrived in Australia, quickly made new friends, found employment on weekends, joined the gym on campus and arrived at class early every day. His dedication to his studies and to the broader experience of being in Australia are commendable.

GELI class time change

Now that most GELI students are onshore, from 5 September 2022 class times will change to: 9am – 1:30pm (AEST) with a 30-minute break 11am – 11:30am. This will enable students to participate in after-class activities and workshops.
