We are incredibly excited to be welcoming international students back to our Griffith University campuses, and rebuilding our on-campus student community.

Griffith has already welcomed back 285 continuing students who are arriving in Australia for the first time, and 68 continuing students who are returning to Australia after departing in 2020. We look forward to meeting all of our new international students enrolled in 2022 programs.

The numbers of international students arriving in Queensland are being updated each day and we acknowledge the role that our valued partners play in supporting their transition.

To ensure that students are provided with the resources and information that they need for their arrival in Australia, we have a number of support systems in place, including creating a dedicated Teams channel to ensure they are able to communicate easily with our teams.

Welcome activities

  • Digital signage has been added around our campuses on television screens, and banners have been installed welcoming international students back to campus.
  • Our Griffith Mates are hosting Welcome Booths on the Nathan and Gold Coast Campuses and running campus tours daily to help students find their way around.
  • Coffee catch ups are being hosted at Southbank and Mount Gravatt campuses, and other social events including the ‘Mates in Minutes’ will help international students make lasting connections.
  • The International Student Buddy Program will run from Week 1 to Week 4 of Trimester 1, 2022.
