Griffith English Language Institute (GELI) has recently transitioned almost 150 students into their Griffith University or Griffith College program for Trimester 2 commencement via the Direct Entry Program (DEP). DEP enables students requiring IELTS 6.0, 6.5 and 7.0 to enter their program without needing to submit a proficiency test result.

Griffith International acknowledges excellent performance in DEP by awarding a $1000 Direct Entry Program (DEP) Scholarship to the highest performing DEP student in each cohort who is progressing to a Griffith undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree, and we congratulate the following scholarship winners:

·      KOU Wenqi, China, Bachelor of Design

·      Viktoriia FOMINA, Ukraine, Master of Social Work  

·      Kusala Lakmini Bandara Rathninda HERATH MUDIYANSELAGE KATUPOLLANDEGEDARA, Sri Lanka, Master of Global Public Health

KOU Wenqi studied at GELI for 30 weeks, made excellent progress and was described by her teachers as an engaged and active learner who supported her fellow classmates.

Viktoriia FOMINA studied at GELI for 10 weeks and was an outstanding student who never hesitated to get involved in whatever the class was engaged in. She showed excellent leadership skills in each of the groups in which she was involved. 

Kusala Lakmini Bandara Rathninda HERATH MUDIYANSELAGE KATUPOLLANDEGEDARA  studied at GELI for 10 weeks. Arriving from Sri Lanka where she worked as a GP, Kusala embraced every aspect of her life here. She made the most of every opportunity to improve her skills and was an asset to the class as she was a very active participant in lessons and provided guidance and support to others, which made her an invaluable team member.
