Griffith Institute for Educational Research members Associate Professor Katherine Main and Associate Professor Sue Whatman published a book titled “Health and Wellbeing in the Middle Grades: Research for Effective Middle Level Education” (2023). The focus of the book is to contribute to current research on middle grades, highlighting the relationship between students’ wellbeing and their academic progress.
This book is part of the series “The Handbook of Research in Middle Level Education,” whose goal is to equip school leaders, teachers, academics, and teacher candidates with the knowledge and tools necessary to understand and address the health and wellbeing needs of young adolescent learners. By integrating research and practical applications, the book aims to empower educators to enhance the health and wellbeing of their students effectively.
