In this episode, we speak to Griffith University School of Criminology and Criminal Justice senior lecturer Dr Danielle Harris about whether public registers should be implemented for child sex offenders. She unpacks whether a sex offenders registry would have prevented some of the horrendous sexual crimes that we hear about on the news, and how we all can take part in preventing these crimes. Dr Harris is one of the foremost Australian researchers in this field, recently releasing a book based on her research interviewing more than 100 men in three countries who were in jail for serious sexual violence.
