The overall aim of the Centre is to improve the health of Australian families through leadership, practice and research. We intend to achieve this by:

• Providing a focus for promoting existing and emerging key strategic initiatives of Menzies Health Institute Queensland and Women and Newborn Services Gold Coast University Hospital;
• Operate as a centre for interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to women’s and newborn health research,  education and practice development;
• Actively engage with professional practice; and
• Promote and actively engage with the professions, business, and other health services, government and community.
