Griffith University recently acknowledged Professor Sara McGaughey with a Citation for Excellence in Learning and Teaching along with Associate Professor Stephanie Schleimer and Dr Julienne Senyard with a Highly Commended award for their efforts and commitment to the delivery of quality learning outcomes for students during 2019.

Sara teaches within the Masters of International Business and Masters of Business, and is well known for her research-led approach to teaching and learning in the context of contemporary issues and practice.

Julienne is an entrepreneurship lecturer who teaches across several disciplines as one of her courses, Entrepreneurship and New Business Ventures, is a listed elective in more than 70 programs across the university. 

Stephanie is well known for her work with Honours students and in GBS’s MBA program where she teaches Strategy and Innovation. When she received the award, Stephanie stated:

“I genuinely love what I do and it is great to be recognised for it by Griffith University.”

Head of Department, Professor Rosemary Stockdale said, “These awards demonstrate the very high level of engagement, enthusiasm and scholarship that Julienne, Stephanie and Sara bring to their teaching.”

“The awards reflect the Department’s reputation for excellent teaching.”  

The awards scheme is always highly competitive and the quality of applications this year was again outstanding.
